Nature’s Unlimited Beauty

Verdant Costa Rican Jungle and Extraordinary Wildlife

You’ll have trouble believing in the existence of any other paradise once you arrive at the Buddha Hotel. Our lush natural surroundings provide a refuge from the outside world. Located in the Guanacaste province, the Buddha falls within a Blue Zone — one of only five regions in the entire world where life expectancy and general happiness are exceedingly higher than anywhere else on the globe. Nestled against a lively, verdant jungle, and so close to the beach you’ll fall asleep to waves crashing, it’s not difficult to see why people are thriving here.

The animals thrive, too. Every forty days, hundreds — and sometimes thousands — of turtles emerge from the ocean to nest at the Ostional Wildlife Reserve, which is a short walk away from the hotel. There, on the sand, you will be able to observe the miraculous cycle of life as the native Olive Ridley Sea Turtles comfortably lay their eggs deep in the sand. It is unforgettable experience. Stay on the reserve to witness a life-changing sunset or go early to see what the sun looks like when it rises over our island paradise.

A gorgeous tropical jungle snugly hugs the Buddha Hotel, its leafy foliage extending itself to embrace the exterior walls of our facility. The gentle sounds of the surrounding wildlife create an atmosphere of tranquility. The trees that tower above our hotel are homes to monkeys, tree frogs and exotic birds, among many other animals. Bring your binoculars to get a good eye on them!
